I've been away...

Excuses, excuses...

I stopped blogging ages ago as I couldn't justify it to myself. But my endless lurking around other blogs combined with my internal rants mean I am back.

As I sit around a computer typing a lot more these days, hopefully I'll be able to keep it up.

Just for the record, in the last however-many months and months I have begun on my research and am now obessed with rituals, symbols, honor and other squishy social science issues such as these, so expect a lot on those themes.
